Insurtech YuLife has announced a new Chief Executive Officer. Tal Gilbert has stepped in to lead the firm, which provides AI-supported employee benefits. According to a statement distributed by the company, Gilbert will focus on deepening YuLife’s AI capabilities and strengthening its offerings for employers, advisers, and insurers globally.
YuLife is also an OurCrowd portfolio firm, having raised £3 million in 2018. Funded as a startup, the UK-based company aims to transform traditional insurance and employee benefits, improving employee value and use. The platform offers a package of preventive health benefits that protects employees’ well-being.
Gilbert succeeds Sammy Rubin, YuLife’s Founder and outgoing CEO, who will assume the role of Executive Chair. Gilbert previously led Vitality US as CEO, served as Acting CEO of AIA Vitality in Hong Kong, and was General Manager of Vitality Health International.
Gilbert’s selection aligns with its new offering called “Yunity,” designed to enable earlier intervention and more effective support for its customers
Gilbert said that as “AI reshapes knowledge work, employers will need to think creatively about how they support their people, creating opportunities for those who can understand health and financial needs earlier and respond more intelligently.”
