So there’s this guy in Austin that is getting a lot of news coverage in the last several days about his efforts to let homeless people stay on his two pieces of land. The smaller piece of land is being challenged by the homeowners association adjacent to it. But from what I understand there’s 10 acres that’s a campground that is being opened up. A lot of people are talking about it on Facebook and the next door app. These debates are getting so heated that next door has deleted multiple chat threads over it. This man has managed to piss off a lot of people, but I think it’s amazing what he’s trying to do. I believe the project name is Camp Haven. I first became aware of it from the news two nights ago on CBS Austin. And then last night it was released from Spectrum news which I found on Facebook. He has also launched a GoFundMe. I want to know what your opinion is on this pros and cons, is this something we should be supporting?
Here’s a link to the news article I found on Facebook https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=4343700142341816&id=118091971569342
